The Magic Finger

Today for science I was learning about water tension also known as the skin of the water. I had to do a little experiment which I have dubbed the magic finger experiment where you make pepper float to the edges of a plate. Here are some fun facts about water tension. Dishwashing liquid breaks a water tension so that the surface moves to the side. Water can go over the brim of the glass without spilling down the sides because of the molecules that hold it together tightly. I enjoyed doing the experiment and filming it although it did get a little sticky. I thought it was hard to execute the experiment well and for it to work properly.

  1. Morena Emma,

I really enjoyed reading your title 'The Magic Finger' as it was very catchy. I also admired watching your video and thought you did a great job at explaining what to do, what water tension is and how it occurs. Have you ever done this science experiment before?
