This week we wrote animal reports on new zealand's wetapunga and really there incredible insects. Did you know the giant weta is one of the worlds largest insects that's impressive right. We were learning how to write a report rather than a recount like what we normally would do in writing. Surprisingly I actually really enjoyed learning about the weta because I'm not really an insect person so it was fun to try something different and I hope you will enjoy reading my writing as much as I enjoyed making it
There are more than 70 species of weta including the big weta, cave weta and tree weta. Some weta can weigh the same weight as three small mice. All Weta hunt at night which makes them nocturnal.
