The Hot Cross Bun
Today was easter Thursday and our class made large hot cross bun to celebrate. The hot cross bun is normally eaten on good Friday because it's cross which is normally made of flour and water represents the cross that Jesus died on.The raisins and the bread itself represent the body and blood of Jesus. The spices inside the hot cross bun represent the spices rubbed on Jesus's body when he was taken down from the cross. An easter egg is usually hollow inside because it represents the empty tomb on easter Sunday and the round shape of the egg represents the boulder rolled in front of Jesus's tomb.
