Zealandia

This week I have been learning all about zealandia and why it should be a continent because it includes are country New Zealand.I found it difficult to write down ideas for letter because I didn't really know how to write it down.I enjoyed making it because getting to convince someone is fun.Next time I would change my rhetorical question because it's not really obvious.




Dear Mum, Why is’t zealandia a continent I wanted to tell you why I think that zealandia should be a continent. First, even though most of it is under water it doesn’t mean that it can’t be a continent. I think Zealandia should be a continent. It is really big if you look beneath the surface. Secondly, because even though it got stretched and became thin and sunk to the bottom of the ocean it should still be a continent because new zealand and new caledonia are still above the surface. Lastly, because I think it still has the same qualities as many of our other continents, it has: a variety of rock types and once had a thicker continental crust then the oceanic crust.
