 This week we were learning about being super learners because it is important to know what we are learning and why.As my digital learning object I made myself as a superhero because it shows that I'm a super learner.I enjoyed putting myself in to fun superhero clothes and accessories.I found it challenging to pick an animal side kick to fit my theme

for past few weeks I've been learning about chinese new year because it is an important celebration in the chinese culture.I really enjoyed learning about the chinese culture and found it difficult to make the lantern.

What do you know about the treaty of waitangi ?

This Week I learned about the treaty of waitangi and how to write 10 facts about because the treaty of waitangi is one of Aotearoa's most important documents and is important to remember and praise because because it was new zealand's founding document.My digital learning object shows 10 facts about the treaty and who and when it was signed.I really enjoyed researching the treaty and found it challenging to write down 10 interesting facts about the treaty. Next time I would change some of my facts to make them more interesting.

The Turanga Festival

 This week we learned to write using our senses like hearing,smelling, feeling, looking and tasting.We had to write about the kapa haka festival were we performed as a senior school. it was a truly wonderful experience.

The Turanga Festival

The Turanga festival is a place people go to enjoy a taste of maori culture.I could see big black steps leading up to a gleaming stage and I could hear what sounded like a herd of elephants cheering and applauding.I could smell the warm scent of sausages with tomato sauce drifting through the air.As we sang hareruia the air tasted soft and sweet like marshmallow it gave me a loving comforting feeling as I sung.

Dear Skyline, 

thank you for letting us come in and do the luge it was incredible and would love to do it again. Although the first time I was a bit nervous going down but the gondola was really cool.

My highlight of this trip was definitely the advanced track, in fact I had so much fun on it that I went down it 3 times in a row.

So thank you again for letting us come in because it was one of the best moments of my life and I hope lots of kids will be able to get the same experience as me because you guys are truly amazing and I would love to go down it again.

Mood rings

Today I learned about how mood rings work. Now I own a mood necklace and I can confirm it changes colour but if it really shows my mood is questionable. Mood rings are fake stones made of glass or quartz and were hollow on the inside.The inside was filled liquid crystals. The crystal are thermochromic which means they change colours according to the temperature around them. Now I hope you learned something because I shore did.
